My Unintentional Muse

Oh darn you, how you tempt me ‘gain Facebook!

Your nets have caught me to procrastinate,

And yet I can’t but help to take a look,

Which might lead to a penalizing late.

Dear Facebook, you are just an empty fridge:

A blatant disappointment when refreshed.

Though sometimes you serve as an endless bridge,

My walking strays the time; once more enmeshed.

But see now how you have ignited me

To write an inspirational sonnet

Revealing, and assuming some agree,

Your ample potency as harmonic!

            Facebook, you are my unintended Muse

            And prove to be a friend if not abused.

What's in a dream?

Last night I had a dream with faces I've never seen before.
It felt so weird and far away.
I was taking an exam,
An anatomical one.
I was going to cheat,
but Karma bit back.
I was being escorted to the bathroom,
and ended up in a different world,
losing time...
Frantic, heart racing,
I came back.
With 5 minutes to spare.
And while stuffing a sandwich down my throat,
I finished the exam with all the right answers in my mind.

Two nights ago I had memory loss.
I didn't remember any events or people I met-
before grade 12.
I woke up,
To find that:
- I go to an amazing university,
in an amazing city.
- Bound to go to another halfway around the world for a year.
- I have extremely loyal, kind, supportive and close friends.
- I've met incredibly diverse and exciting people.
- I still have an awesome family.
- I'm learning to play the uke.
- I've volunteered at a Shark Conservation Project in Fiji.
- I got a paid internship at a Canadian Environmental Consulting firm in Laos.
- I am loved on all levels of the spectrum of that word.

*SHIT*

I woke up to the reality:

I have a good mothaf*ckn life

The world sometimes throws me down in the dumps and makes me angrier than I’ve ever felt towards any person with social media vomiting news of heinous crimes, incredible injustice of righteous man-slaughter, and acts of god-awful-death-inspiring terrorism. 

Admittedly, being in SEA has helped me “run-away” or “escape” so to speak from the world a bit…

Because, as of this moment, right now:
